Family...

It's been a very long time since I've blogged...not that I haven't had any ideas. I have a list of topics and things I'd like to write about. Been exploring other options for my writing, but today decided to write again.

My Daddy and "extra" Mom are here visiting from Georgia this weekend. Every minute has been special. We're having fun playing with the boys and catching up since it's been over a year since we've been together. I'm amazed at the love we all have for each other...the openness and honesty we share in conversation. There's no awkwardness. Just family.

It's also fun to share old stories about trips we took when my sister and I were little. I'm learning things about my dad and his time in the Navy that I've never known. My boys are way interested in those stories, too!! The weekend is going way too quickly, but every second we've had together has been a true treasure, a gift from God. I'm so thankful for the family God gave me...and even more grateful for every minute we can spend together!!
